Worksafe BC was created by legislation nearly a century ago, to help eliminate injury, disease, and death in the workplace. The law established rights for workers and employers in a compensation system funded by employers.

Serving almost 2.2 million workers and 220,000 employers in our province, Worksafe BC is a provincial agency dedicated to promoting safe and healthy workplaces across B.C. partnering with workers and employers to save lives and prevent work-related injury, disease, and disability.
